Hello valued member,
Welcome to the 19th Annual Pharmaceutical Microbiology Conference!
We have a content-rich and action-packed two-and-a-half days planned for you. With a balance of cutting-edge innovation, novel solutions and dynamic networking activities, we hope you take advantage of these opportunities to inform and inspire your work.
We are also offering an in-depth, day-and-a-half workshop immediately after the event (also in the Grand Hyatt) on microbiological methods, “Sunsetting Traditions: The Dawn of Applying and Embracing Change”. It’s a timely opportunity to deep dive into the evaluation and adoption of rapid and alternative microbiological methods with a focus on emerging and alternative technologies and innovations.

High-Level Content: Peer Reviewed and Presented
Be sure to attend the two plenaries today to get PDA updates and learn what’s going on in outer space. “Microbes in Microgravity: Navigating Life on a Low Earth Orbit Space Station” is presented by Monserrate C. Román, MA, Program Manager, NASA and moderated by Erika A. Pfeiler, PhD, Supervisory Microbiologist, OPQ, CDER, U.S. FDA and your co-chair for the conference. Where else can you step into the extraordinary world of living in a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Space Station, where every breath, sip of water, and microbe is shared with up to six of your best friends 24 hours a day?
Next up is “Navigating the Microbiome: From Fecal Transplants to Next-Gen Therapeutics” with insights from two distinguished scientists as they unravel the mysteries of the microbiome’s role in modern medicine. Alexander Khoruts, MD, Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, University of Minnesota (Supported by Veltek) and Sathya Janardhanan, Vice President, Development and Manufacturing, Rise Therapeutics weigh in on the subject.
The afternoon breakout sessions are filled with choices ranging from solutions for contamination, control strategies, nonexistent biofilms, objectionable microorganisms, and rapid and alternative microbiological methods. Peer experts present the most recent cutting-edge solutions.
The Exhibit Area has 40+ solution providers that may be the answer to your problems and 5 media partners sharing content you need. Be sure to visit them and make connections that may help pave the way for your career and your organization’s future.
